The Mountain Warehouse Map Measurer is a brilliant navigation tool when on long walks and hikes.  It measures the distance on maps of all scales. The distance on the map measurer is shown in miles, kilometres and nautical miles, and it has been constructed and designed to be a durable piece of navigation equipment, perfect for outdoor use in all weather.

Directions– 1)Set the pointer to Zero by turning the Tracing Wheel, the small wheel at the base of the measurer. Move the pointer until it passes Zero and then bring it forward back to Zero. This will take up any slack in the gears.2)Hold the measurer vertically with the Tracing Wheel set at the beginning of the route on the map, then run it along the route to the destination. The pointer will indicate on the dial the exact measurement traced.3)When tracing the route with the Tracing Wheel, be sure to run it in the same direction, so that the reading increases in distance as you trace.4)One dial of the map measure shows scale of 1 inch & 1cm to 1km. For maps with different scales, multiply or divide the reading shown on the dial by the scale (for example, for maps with the scale 1:10, multiply the distance by 10).  (Ref. 022386)
