1 Just about everything. This lantern is perfect for illuminating the inside of a tent or the area around it. It is lit by a big LED bulb which light in all directions. It is bright but soft light.

2. The design is brilliant. When closed this little lantern is off. When you begin to pull the top half up it begins to illuminate. If you want just a small amount of light, only pull the top half up a bit. The higher you pull the more light you receive. I think the template of this design would work in all kind of lighting. Revolutionary!

3. It is powered by three AA battery. This is nice because it doesn’t require electricity which is usually hard to come by on a camping trip.

4. It is not dangerous. I have always camped with the requisite Coleman lantern that was attached to a small gas tank and illumined with real glowing fire. It was always hung and never used inside the tent. Entirely to unsafe. With the Nicecho collapsible lantern there is no worries with fire.
