Great help for tough fires. This is the same product that comes packed with the Aviation Survival Spark-lite Kit. Good stuff This is a really nice product. These things light easily and stay lit a good long while (2-3 min). They also seem less messy than homemade cotton wool + Vaseline fire starters. I’ve heard some folks have used magnesium shavings inside the homemade style and then dipped all but a “wick” in paraffin to keep the mess down and add more fuel to the mix.
