Snuggle into the Cosmic 20º Down Sleeping Bag and snooze. This 3-season bag offers great value for the investment, and the 550 Fill-Down means low-weight but high warmth so you will be comfortable even from cool spring nights through the brisk fall nights. The Cosmic Down 20 retains warmth exceptionally well by utilizing an insulated draft tube with anti-snag design, an efficient, form-fitting hood, and top draft collar. Box-baffle construction, ground level seams, and differential cut maximizes the warmth of the bag and eliminates cold spots. The 58″ dual slider zipper makes it easy to get into out of the bag. Once inside, adjustment of the hood is easy to do with the captured cord lock and Fatman and Ribbon(tm) draw cords, which have distinctive feel so you can determine which cord controls the top and bottom of the hood while dark. Finally, the internal liner loops can hold your liner in place while you sleep and the sleeping pad security loops will keep you on your pad (straps sold separately). Kelty has adopted the European Norm (EN) 13537 test process which provides a standardized comparison method for all sleeping bag brands so that it is easier for you to choose the right sleeping bag for your needs. The two temperature ratings listed are “Comfort” and “Lower Limit.” Comfort is defined as the temperature that a standard woman (132lbs / 60kg) will be comfortable at versus lower limit which is the temperature that a standard man (176lbs / 80kg) will be comfortable at. For the Cosmic Down 20, the EN tested Lower Limit is 21F / -6C and the EN tested Comfort Limit is 32F / 0C. Everyone varies in how they sleep, so the temperature rating is only a guide and you may experience being warmer or colder depending on your set of circumstances. •Insulation: 550-Fill Power Down •Shell Material: 50D Polyester Taffeta •Liner Material: 50D Polyester Taffeta

Great entry level down bag I feel badly when you pry out of a kid that they were cold last night. Sure, they might not complain much, but it doesn’t seem quite fair when you were warm and they weren’t. Back packing is supposed to be fun, and it’s not fun when you’re cold. When I saw these bags – even at full price, I figured they were worth a try.I got two of them. A short, fishing-lure-looking thing for my eleven year old daughter, and a regular-size green one for my thirteen year old son. I couldn’t…

Thompson "Topper" says:

This is NOT a 20 degree bag Just took this overnight in Mt. Baldy in California and was very uncomfortable in 34 degree weather. Luckily, I had a down parka to wrap around myself to avoid a whole night of shivering. I could feel plenty of cold spots through the bag and in the morning I found out why. Holding this bag up to the sunlight, you could see how poorly the baffles were filled with down – – it was like there were stripes of down interspaced with stripes of virtually nothing in between the next stripe of down. The…
